The objective of the programme is to strengthen the overall quality of 20 targeted schools so that these schools become models of innovative teacher performance and student achievement. The programme will focus on grades 1-9, in the areas of math, science, and English. Teachers will be given tools to support the use of innovative teaching techniques that promote creativity and critical thinking among students.
AMIDEAST-MSN will work in partnership with four well-known Palestinian educational institutions to implement this project: Al Mawrid Teacher Development Center, Birzeit and Al-Quds Universities, and Al Muntada/The Young Scientists’ Club, which has a unique experiential learning approach to science instruction designed to instill and maintain an active spirit of learning and discovery for students.
AMIDEAST-MSN will develop a model schools network by focusing on four types of initiatives: 1) Professional Development; 2) Physical Capacity Building; 3) Professional Networking; 4) Student & Community Integration.
The SOS Hermann Gmeiner School in Bethlehem is honored to be a part of this prestigious project that will develop the capacity of our school to provide top quality education to our students.
