Heather Paul, PhD
CEO, SOS Children’s Villages-USA
Heather Paul is CEO of the US headquarters of SOS Children’s Villages, with its mission to support the SOS global network through fundraising and advocacy. Heather travels extensively promoting SOS villages and community-based family strengthening activities. She also works closely with major donors, foundations and global corporations in support of 500 SOS Villages. As the former Executive Director of the National SAFE KIDS Campaign for a decade, Heather has a diverse background in children’s issues, public policy, communications and research. She has lived in the Philippines where she taught and participated in anthropological fieldwork. Heather also has held other positions in Washington, DC including Vice President of the National Health Council and Senior Research Associate with the US Department of Health and Human Services. Heather holds a doctorate in American Studies from the University of Maryland, a Masters in American Literature and a B.A. in English from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Moumita Bhattacharya
Direct Marketing Manager
Moumita is responsible for the day-to-day planning and logistics of the direct mail, telemarketing, and direct dialogue fundraising programs. She comes from the advertising world and plans to use her skills, enthusiasm and diverse background in generating awareness about SOS and successfully marketing to the various ethnic groups in the U.S. Moumita grew up in Mumbai, India and earned a Masters degree in communication management from Symbiosis University, Pune in India and a Masters in Advertising from Syracuse University, New York.
Margie Bruszer
Major Gifts Officer
Margie maintains relationships with major donors, stewards future contributors, and strives to talk about SOS with everyone she meets. She has been a part of the SOS family for 12 years. Margie’s 40-year career in child welfare includes 10 years as CEO of the SOS-Florida Village. She relocated to the Dallas area in 2009 to be near her grandchildren and is grateful to remain in the SOS family, working from her home. Raised in Minnesota, Margie holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Social Work from Barry University in Miami.
Jennifer Dupell
Donor Relations Coordinator
Jennifer is responsible for answering any and all questions regarding SOS Children's Villages, coordinating child and Village sponsorships, and leads the SOS USA Sponsor Ambassador program. She comes to SOS with a background in marketing, advertising and customer service experience gained working with popular North American brands including Sanford Brands, Krispy Kreme, Mt. Olive and Wake Forest University. Jennifer is from North Carolina and graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.
Suzanne Gatto
Director, Household Marketing
Suzanne is responsible for managing direct mail campaigns, the sponsorship department and customer relationship management strategy. The experience and passion she brings from working for the American Red Cross and Safe Kids Worldwide complements the business skills she brings to SOS. Suzanne grew up outside of Pittsburgh, PA and earned a BS in Marketing and an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Diane Lebson, CFRE
Director, Major Gifts
Diane has an established track record of accomplishment in non-profit brand management and fundraising. Prior to joining SOS Children’s Villages USA in March 2010, she ran a similar program as an executive with the Washington, DC, office of the United Way where she oversaw a 122% increase in major donor contributions as part of a significant rebranding initiative. Prior to working with the local Washington office of the United Way, Diane spent 14 years at the national United Way organization where she focused on the full spectrum of non-profit leadership including resource development, branding, management of personnel and special events, and governance. Diane holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from The George Washington University, a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University, and completed coursework towards a Ph.D. in public policy from George Mason University.
Diane’s charitable engagement extends beyond the workplace, as she is an active member of the Junior League of Washington and the District of Columbia Public Library Foundation. She enjoys Middle Eastern dance, yoga, and running. Diane’s husband, Eric, works on national security policy as a civilian employee of the US Department of Defense.
Tony Lee
Development Services Manager
Tony manages the SOS-USA database, oversees data entry, and provides input and support to the marketing team. With over five years experience in non-profit development and several years in data management, he is improving the efficiency of SOS-USA’s marketing efforts and aims to provide SOS-USA’s supporters with the highest level of stewardship and customer service. Tony brings with him many years of activism and a passion for human rights and international justice. Currently, he sits on several Board appointed committees for organizations such as Amnesty International USA.
Adekunle Onadipe
Sponsorship Coordinator
Adekunle Onadipe (Ade) joined SOS-USA in August 2007 as the Sponsorship Coordinator. He uses his background and education in non-profit management, fundraising and marketing skills, and on-site experience at SOS Children’s Village Isolo in Nigeria for over 8 years to strengthen the sponsorship program. Prior to joining SOS-USA, Ade worked with Fundraising Initiatives Inc., in Arlington VA. He obtained his BA in Agricultural Economics from University of Agriculture, Abeokuta in Nigeria and MPA from Southeastern University in Washington D.C.
David Stinson
Controller
David Stinson manages financial and technological matters for SOS-USA. He has worked in the non-profit arena for eight years and has for-profit experience in the media and insurance industries. He is pleased to lend his skills and talents to an organization whose mission improves the prospects of disadvantaged children throughout the world. He recognizes the future economic benefit that SOS-USA's work bears on the children and on the children's communities.
Cory Strischek
Web Content Specialist
Cory edits, creates, publishes, and coordinates content on www.sos-usa.org and online campaigns relating to SOS Children's Villages - USA. Previously a copywriter, web producer, and search marketing specialist for non-profits and commercial businesses, Cory now provides Internet marketing knowledge and technical skills to help orphaned and abandoned children. Originally from Athens, Ohio, Cory holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2007, Cory drove from London, UK, to Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia, to benefit charity with the Mongol Rally.
Lisa Vogt
Director, Internet Marketing
Lisa is responsible for interactive marketing as well as communications. Lisa is honored to be a part of SOS Children's Villages where she can make a positive difference to children and families in need. Her career has also included web development, marketing, public relations and information technology management. Lisa has a BA from Colgate University and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business.
Kelly Wise
Office Administrator
Kelly manages the day-to day administrative functions for SOS Children’s Villages-USA’s office. Her goal is to develop and implement strategies that will enable the office to run efficiently while providing each donor/sponsor with a high level of customer service. She has a wealth of non-profit experience in the administrative and financial field. As a mother of three, she understands the importance of family values and knows what it takes to provide a loving and secure home.
