The late Stephen Hawking  supported SOS children since 1990 and was a long-time friend of SOS Children's Villages. In 1997, the respected physicist and professor visited an SOS Children's Village in Vietnam and met a child he sponsored.

On Feb. 4, 2010, Grammy-nominated recording artist Jordin Sparks voiced to boost awareness for SOS Children’s Villages’ humanitarian relief efforts in Haiti.

Rosanne Cash, the eldest daughter of the late music icon Johnny Cash, is a proud supporter of SOS Children's Villages. She is also a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter who has earned numerous accolades for her work.

Johnny Cash

The late Johnny Cash was a great admirer of Hermann Gmeiner, the founder of SOS Kinderdorf International. He also had a special relationship with the SOS Children's Village in  Barrett Town, Jamaica. 

Djimon Hounsou

Academy Award-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou first learned about the work of SOS Children's Villages while filming Blood Diamond in Mozambique in May 2006.  

Sarah Ferguson

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, became the official spokesperson of SOS Children's Villages - USA in 2004. The collaboration was officially announced during the Duchess' visit to the SOS Children's Village in Coconut Creek, Florida, on March 8, 2004.  

Carla Bruni-Sarkozy

In April 2008, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the First Lady of France, visited the SOS Children's Village in Gammarth, Tunisia.
