SOS Children's Villages was founded in 1949 to provide families and homes for orphaned and abandoned children. Today, more than 80,000 children have a loving and secure home in nearly 500 villages in 132 countries around the world. Our mission is to build loving families for children in need, help them shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities.
The Atlanta Supporters are a group of local community leaders and professionals who are deeply committed to the cause of SOS Children's Villages.

Atlanta International Soccer Fest 2010 (June - July 2010)
In conjunction with the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, communities across the metro are coming together to celebrate the most popular sport in the world – SOCCER!
Soccer teams nominated by bi-national Chambers of Commerce and International Consulates will play against each other in a two-day friendly competition. This international celebration of soccer, food, and culture is designed to raise funds and awareness for SOS Children’s Villages.
An international committee, consisting of members of the Atlanta business & cultural community, as well as the SOS Children’s Villages Atlanta Supporters, is organizing the event.

German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC) Annual Gala (October 3, 2009)
This years’ Charity Partner for the Gala is SOS Children’s Villages - USA. Check out The German American Chamber of Commerce website for more information.
To show support for SOS Children’s Villages - USA, purchase raffle tickets, which are available online and at GACC sponsored events. The drawing will be held at the GACC South 14th Annual Gala but participants do not need to be present to win.
Bloomingdale's Annual Shopping Benefit (October 29, 2009)
The SOS Children's Villages Atlanta Supporters will participate in the Annual Bloomingdale's Shopping Benefit. The event will take place on Thursday, October 29th at Bloomingdale’s two Atlanta stores (Lenox Square Mall and Perimeter Mall) from 10am until 10pm.
The Shopping Benefit will feature storewide entertainment, fashion events and special discounts. Tickets are sold for $10 each with 100 percent of ticket proceeds benefiting SOS - USA. Ticket holders will receive a 15 to 20 percent savings off Bloomingdale’s regular and sale priced merchandise on the day of the event (with limited exclusions).
SOS - USA benefits from all tickets sold, event if ticket holder does NOT attend the event. However, for ticket stubs actually turned in on the night of the event, SOS will receive additional proceeds.
