Do you know a gradeschool, high school, or university class that would like to raise funds and awareness for SOS Children's Villages?
As a student at Arrowhead Elementary School in New York, Alesia Muklebust organized a fundraiser for SOS Children's Villages after learning about Africa and working on a project about orphaned children.
She called the event "Kicking in for Kids" where each individual paid $1 to take three shots against a professional soccer player.
A school project about orphaned children in Africa sparked the idea.

Corporate Fundraising
Since 2009, Hasbro, the Hasbro Children’s Fund, and Hasbro employees have made significant contributions to improve the lives of orphaned and abandoned children worldwide. In 2010, the Hasbro Children’s Fund committed to a two-year partnership that will support 165 orphaned and abandoned children living in SOS Villages in Brazil, China, Colombia, Mexico, Romania, and Russia. Additionally, Hasbro will promote SOS Children’s Villages as part of its 75th anniversary of Monopoly, a favorite pastime that has entertained generations of families worldwide.

Celebrity Fundraising

Academy Award-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou first learned about the work of SOS Children's Villages while filming Blood Diamond in Mozambique in May 2006. Djimon visited the organization's projects in Maputo and has since become an avid supporter of SOS in Benin, Hounsou's home country.
During the 2010 World Cup, Hounsou and his wife, Kimora Lee Simmons visited the SOS Village in Cape Town, South Africa. The couple toured the area, visited with the children, and expressed their support for SOS Children’s Villages worldwide:
