After the dramatic events on 7 February that led to the death of more than 50 people and left several hundred severely wounded, representatives of SOS Children's Villages Madagascar have met the heads of the two main hospitals treating the wounded in an effort to determine the most urgent needs. Though details have yet to be discussed, SOS Children's Villages will finance the purchase of medical supplies and medicines to be distributed among the victims free of charge; the most vulnerable children and families will be given priority.
