SOS Children's Villages Bangpoo, Thailand, in Pictures 

October 24, 2011: At the present time, Thailand is suffering from the worst flooding it has experienced in the last five decades. The floods originated in northern Thailand last week, causing devastation to almost 2.5 million people. Many areas have been evacuated and thousands have been given temporary shelter and medical assistance through the country's resources.

The SOS Village in Bangpoo was built in the suburb of Bangpoo and consists of twelve family houses caring for orphaned or once-abandoned Thai children, a workshop and staff accommodation, as well as a an SOS Kindergarten.
