In Sub-Saharan Africa, one element of our robust partnership with Johnson & Johnson provides disadvantaged youth the opportunity to fulfill their dreams as health care professionals. Through the SOS Nursing and Midwifery Education Program, we provide access to education – and a pathway to employment – for young women and men in places where the ratio of nurses to patients can be 1 to 10,000. Once considered vulnerable themselves, the graduates emerge as leaders, positioned to improve the health of women in their communities by ensuring safe, happy childbirths, the screening and prevention of cervical cancer, and everyday quality medical care for children and families in need.

Corporations in support of the SOS Children in Crisis Fund ensure our ongoing response activities can include the provision of relief items, food and shelter, operation of child friendly spaces, psychosocial support, and family reunification services for displaced children. We are there before, during and after all types of emergencies. Custom microsites are available to delegate SOS as your emergency response partner.

Capital Campaign Support

SOS is currently seeking flagship donors to build a much-needed community center in Roosevelt Square Chicago. The center will provide a safe, welcoming space for our children, SOS families, and the broader community to gather and gain access to critical services including clinical therapy, life skills and financial literacy seminars, tutoring and mentorship programs, and parent trainings.
