SOS USA's statement on racism

Neil Ghosh, CEO of SOS USA, shares the organization's stance on racism and injustice.

Racism in any form is against our values at SOS Children’s Villages – USA. Since the founding of SOS in 1949, our organization has worked to empower children and families who are most vulnerable, many of whom are members of marginalized communities. In 136 countries around the world, including the United States of America, we create structures of support that break down systemic barriers to success and allow every child to thrive.

At SOS Children’s Villages – USA, we wholeheartedly reject injustice and stand in steadfast solidarity with the Black community. We believe that an unwavering focus on equity is the only way to achieve essential—and long overdue—changes in our society.

We realize that our actions must reflect this statement and we are committed to doing the work within our organization to ensure that SOS Children’s Villages – USA upholds these ideals. Together, we can make the world a safer, more loving and fully inclusive place for all.
