As Ukrainian Violence Subsides, local SOS Village Remains Safe

Over the past three months, the Ukraine has seen violence between anti-government protesters and opposing authorities escalate.  Most of the conflict has taken place in Kiev, the capital of the Ukraine and 12 miles from SOS Children’s Village Brovary. Fortunately, the 13 families and SOS staff at this village are safe and secure. On Feb. 22 the Ukrainian Parliament ousted President Viktor Yanukovych, and the once intensifying turmoil has given way to peace as protestors look toward elections in May. This situation is developing, and we will provide updated information, when available, on our website, Facebook, Twitter, and Google + pages.
