Last call! Registration for the Atlanta International Soccer Fest 2014 (AISF 2014) on June 7, 2014 is coming to an end.

We are calling all soccer enthusiasts, sponsors, volunteers and participants to get involved and register before Firday, May 30.

When: Saturday, June 7, 2014
Where: Atlanta Silverbacks Park in Atlanta, Georgia
Deadline: May 30, Friday

Numerous teams have already signed up. The Soccer Fest is open to the Atlanta community, including businesses, bi-lateral chambers of commerce, consulates, cultural organizations, soccer clubs, and any other teams that wish to play.

It has been recently endorsed by the Mayor of Atlanta Kasim Reed.

"The Atlanta International Soccer Fest not only gives us an opportunity to celebrate our vibrant and diverse cultural community, but support important causes including the SOS Children’s Villages," Mayor Reed said.

During the one-day tournament, teams will play up to three round-robin games with the championship games taking place inside Atlanta Silverbacks Park.

Directly following AISF 2014, the Atlanta Silverbacks FC will play their scheduled game. You can buy tickets to the game at a discounted price here. For every ticket purchased, the Silverbacks will donate $3 to SOS Children's Villages.

The awards ceremony for the top finishers of AISF 2014 will take place during halftime of the Silverbacks game.

“Soccer and SOS Children’s Villages have had a long-standing relationship. Soccer plays a positive role in children’s lives by contributing to their physical and social development. The Atlanta International Soccer Fest is a great way to bring together the international Atlanta community around a worthy cause,” Irene Bailey, president of the Atlanta Volunteer Committee for SOS Children’s Villages, said.

The Soccer Fest is still searching for sponsorship partners to ensure the event raises as much awareness and financial support for SOS Children’s Villages as possible. If you are interested in joining as a sponsor of the event, please email Lora Sodini at lsodini@sos-usa.org.

Current partners of the event include: Atlanta Silverbacks FC, Atlanta Sports Council, Consulate General of Brazil in Atlanta, Georgia Soccer, German-American Chamber of Commerce, Global Atlanta, South African-American Business Chamber, Goethe Center and Realm Advertising.
