SOS Children’s Villages Launches #itTakes Campaign to Help Raise Awareness for Vulnerable Children

The world’s largest organization dedicated to helping orphaned and abandoned children calls on the global community to take action for the millions of children worldwide who need loving homes

WASHINGTON, DC – SOS Children’s Villages USA launched the #itTakes campaign on October 15, 2013 to mobilize support for millions of orphaned and abandoned children in the US and worldwide. The campaign calls on the global community to pledge their help and contribute their time, voices, and resources to help SOS Children’s Villages work towards a healthier, independent next generation.

“It really does take all of us acting together to give orphaned and abandoned children what they need - not only to survive, but to thrive,” said Lynn Croneberger, CEO of SOS Children’s Villages USA. “I’m proud to invite the global community to join the world’s largest family by taking the #itTakes pledge.”

At itTakes.org, supporters can learn more about how SOS Children’s Villages provides loving and permanent homes for orphaned and abandoned children around the world. Campaign participants can then contribute their voices through social media (using the #itTakes hashtag), sponsoring a child, and donating.
