Christian Louboutin announced today that SOS Children’s Villages will benefit from the shoe designer’s limited-edition shoe, Malangeli. The shoe was designed in collaboration with Angelina Jolie and was inspired by the May 30th release of Disney’s Maleficent

Louboutin worked alongside Jolie, a long-time supporter of Christian’s work, to bring the project to

“It is exciting to work with someone who has such a strong aesthetic and character. Getting to know Angelina through a fun collaboration has been one of my GREATEST pleasures!!!” said Louboutin.

Malangeli features a sculpted heel that curls away from the wedge sole like a tendril of smoke. Its patent leather body enshrouds a nude mesh base, further promoting an illusion of magic.

This style is available in black and red patent leather through pre-order at four Christian Louboutin flagship boutiques worldwide from October 20th 2014. Profits from sales will benefit SOS Children’s Villages, the world’s largest organization dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children.

Supported by Angelina Jolie since 2003, SOS Children’s Villages provides stable, loving homes, as well as education, medical and outreach programs, which help make a positive impact on the lives of over 1 million people each year.
