Washington, D.C. – The HillBenders, a Missouri-based bluegrass five-piece band, are the latest artists to partner with SOS Children’s Villages in its mission to provide loving, stable homes to vulnerable children around the world. The HillBenders are currently on tour in the US, visiting venues nationwide.
Since their formation in 2008, The HillBenders have brought energy and tight harmonies to audiences across the country. The band combines bluegrass with rock, country, jazz and other types of genres to create their own unique sound. Their latest album “Tommy: A Bluegrass Opry” covered The Who’s iconic rock opera “Tommy”.
“It is an honor to perform and be able to bring awareness to the plight of millions of vulnerable children around the world,” said Nolan Lawrence, a member of The Hillbenders. “We are thrilled to partner with SOS Children’s Villages to help inspire people to take action and support these children.”
