From March 23 to April 24, we asked our supporters to participate in Relay for Kids, a unique social media campaign designed to raise money for children living in crisis-stricken countries.
During the campaign, 17 blog posts about child rights were published on the Huffington Post. Every time a post was shared on social media, Johnson & Johnson donated $1 to SOS Children’s Villages.
Our goal was to reach 30,000 social media shares in just five weeks
. Due to overwhelming participation, we amassed 30,563 shares, which lead to our “unlocking” $30,000 for kids in crisis.
Other highlights of the Relay for Kids campaign include:
$45,000 raised for kids in crisis (includes $15,000 from Donate a Photo)
3,400 people tweeted with the #Relay4Kids hashtag
550,000 Facebook users reached with Relay for Kids content
