SOS Children’s Villages USA partners with Hewlett Packard Enterprise to strengthen support for vulnerable children and families

Washington, D.C.—May 29, 2026—SOS Children’s Villages USA (SOS USA), an essential part of the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to providing children with safe, loving families, is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). This partnership aims to create impact by strengthening digital expertise, building long-term capacity and supporting vulnerable children and families in India through humanitarian assistance. The partnership reflects HPE’s commitment to advance the way we live and work by applying technology, expertise and collaboration to help organizations build more resilient communities and improve outcomes for those most at risk.

HPE is providing strategic technology advisory support to help strengthen SOS Children’s Villages’ long-term impact and operational resilience. HPE Digital Next Advisors are working alongside participants to rethink how technology can be leveraged across the organization, helping lay the foundation for long-term digital roadmaps. HPE experts have also provided guidance on ethical AI principles and how AI can be more effectively integrated into mission-driven work, alongside cybersecurity training and follow-on support designed to strengthen awareness of cyber risks, improve organizational resilience, and help protect organizations and the communities they serve from evolving threats. Through this collaboration, HPE aims to support organizations in becoming more efficient, agile and better equipped to maximize the value of technology in advancing a more just and equitable society.

This broader collaboration is paired with direct humanitarian support for vulnerable children and families in India. This partnership will serve more than 3,000 vulnerable children across 32 programs in 22 states in India, beginning with a 60-day rapid-response initiative to address children's and families’ most urgent needs, including life-saving medical care, mental health services and nutrition support. Nearly 20% of India’s more than 430 million children suffer from wasting, a life-threatening form of malnutrition that can lead to lifelong physical and developmental challenges if left untreated. 

SOS and HPE are helping provide children who are malnourished, without parental care, or living with disabilities with safe and supportive homes, nutritious food, and access to physical and mental health care. Beyond addressing children’s most immediate needs, this collaboration also aims to prevent future crises by providing families and caregivers with the training, guidance and resources needed to stay together and provide quality care for their children.
