Alternative care

1,533  programs reached 70,300 people, providing holistic, non-institutional, trauma-informed and family-like care to children without parents—keeping biological siblings together.

Family strengthening

593 programs reached 516,400 people, building capacity for families and communities to care for their children.

Emergency response

122 programs reached 3,826,800 people, protecting children during humanitarian emergencies.

Education & youth employability 

780 programs reached 1,259,600 people, preparing young people for the workforce with skills, training and economic opportunities.

Health care 

73 programs reached 89,000 people, through advocacy, prevention and services providing access to free, high-quality care for children and families.

Girls’ & women’s empowerment

SOS uses a gender lens to inform program design, ensuring women and girls equitable access to programs in their communities.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

SOS Children’s Villages' work to provide care for children and strengthen families contributes to progress towards the SDGs, including SDG #1: End poverty; #4: Education; #8: Economic empowerment; #10: Reduce inequalities; and #16: Peace and Justice. SOS Children's Villages works to safeguard and protect all children and we advocate for SDG 16.2 and related goals to end all forms of violence against children.

Maestro Cares Foundation: 10 years of impact for 12,500+ children and 4,500+ families

For ten years, Maestro Cares Foundation (MCF) has been partnering with SOS Children’s Villages to building brighter futures for children.

Since 2016, this dedicated partnership has reached more than 12,500 children and youth and 4,500 families across Latin America—while indirectly impacting more than 28,000 community members—creating safe homes, strengthening families and breaking cycles of instability and poverty.
