February 24 marks one year since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine. An estimated 13.8 million Ukrainian people remain internally displaced or living as refugees in Europe.
Our top priority is to protect children and their families in Ukraine and to support Ukrainian refugees in neighboring countries. With the help of our generous donors, SOS Children's Villages keeps families together, reunites families that have been separated and protects children who are alone.
SOS Children’s Villages has worked in Ukraine since 2003. In the past year, we have expanded our presence in Ukraine from two regions to 17 and reached more than 270,000 children and families in Ukraine and 10 neighboring countries.
