SOS Children's Village Campinas
A decentralized model, with Casas Lares spread across the municipality
SOS Children's Villages arrived in Campinas due to an invitation of the City Hall in 2009. The request was for the aim of establishing a partnership in the process of reorganizing institutional reception services.
In the following year, the SOS Children's Villages took over the service and started to serve 80 children and adolescents. The Campinas program, which has a decentralized model, with Casas Lares has spread throughout the municipality, and has experienced different stories of insertion of community members in the welcoming environment, which has contributed to the process of developing children and adolescents and strengthening bonds community.
