SOS Children's Village Foz do Iguacu

Each child belongs to a family and grows with love, respect and security

The way in which SOS Children's Villages Brazil was implemented in the Foz do Iguaçu region was based on a very differentiated model. At the end of 2011, the Municipal Secretary of Social Assistance asked the Minister of the Human Rights Secretary of Brazil for guidance to find out about an institution that could take over the welcoming service of the municipality. The Minister pointed out the work carried out by SOS Children's Villages Brazil, which quickly aroused the interest of the government.

The expectations of the representatives of the municipality in relation to the welcoming service offered by SOS Children's Villages Brazil was exceeded and the program took over the work with the children and the youth of Foz do Iguaçu. Today, the program has five homes in the community that can accommodate up to 63 children.
