Own a piece of Justice Ginsburg’s legacy: Rare gold beaded collar up for sale in historic auction

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s iconic collars are a symbol of her fight for equality. Now, you can own a piece of history. From Friday, March 22 through Monday, April 2, Bonhams will host an exclusive online auction of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s gold beaded collar on bonhams.com. This one-of-a-kind collar was inspired by Justice Ginsburg’s famous dissent collar. Designed for her and in her possession until her passing, it is the only collar her family is offering to the public. The gold beaded collar, along with a pair of Justice Ginsburg’s opera glasses and a musical jewelry box she treasured, will be included in Bonhams’ Remarkable Women sale.

Full proceeds from the sale will benefit the RBG for SOS Endowment. Justice Ginsburg was a staunch advocate for women’s and girls’ empowerment and the RBG for SOS Endowment was established to support the needs of women and girls through the programs of SOS Children's Villages. Her family is auctioning these items as a lasting and fitting tribute to her ideals and legacy.

This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of history and to support SOS Children’s Villages’ work to empower women and girls around the world. In the coming weeks, Bonhams will provide more details regarding the auction. If you have any questions or are interested in learning more, please contact info@sos-usa.org.

About SOS Children’s Villages

Established in 1949, SOS Children’s Villages is the world’s largest organization focused on ensuring that children and young people without parental care—or who are at risk of losing it—grow up with the care, relationships and support they need to become their strongest selves. SOS Children’s Villages builds loving, stable families for vulnerable children in more than 130 countries and territories. In addition to providing family-based care for children who would otherwise grow up alone, SOS Children’s Villages supports vulnerable families so children can stay with their caregivers and helps youth navigate the road to adulthood.
